The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Associate orMid-LevelSite Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join the team in San Antonio, TX to serve as the primary EHS interface to Operations at the Boeing Global Services Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility in San Antonio, TX. This hands‑on role provides daily health and safety support for maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities and oversees sitewide compliance for various occupational safety programs. Limited travel required.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct health and safety audits to ensure company and OSHA compliance.

  • Support production operations through identification and mitigation of risk.

  • Effective program management of assigned health and safety programs including fall protection, powered industrial truck and powered platforms, and personal protective equipment.

  • Conduct program reviews for assigned health and safety programs including fall protection, powered industrial truck and powered platforms, and personal protective equipment.

  • Interfacing with various organizations and departments across the site.

  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver safety and health training; maintain and manage recordkeeping and reporting systems.

  • Prepare comprehensive reports, technical analyses, and presentations for Operations and leadership.

  • Participate in incident investigations, audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking.

  • Evaluate the impact of emerging issues, regulations and legislation to company operations.

  • Identify and develop corrective action plans to respond to internal/external audits and inspections.

  • Work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively on cross‑functional teams.

Skills & Technical Competencies

Hazard Recognition, Evaluation & Control

  • Anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control workplace hazards and risks.

  • Understands and recommends engineering, administrative, and PPE controls.

Documentation, Communication & Training

  • Technical report writing with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Prepare and present professional briefings and training materials.

  • Develop and maintain recordkeeping and reporting systems.

Program and project management

  • Perform effective project management for assigned occupational safety programs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 1+ year of experience in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS)

  • Travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Associate Safety Professional or Certified Safety Professional certification from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals

  • 3+ years industrial safety experience

  • Experience codifying regulatory requirements into written procedures or desk instructions

  • Experience working across multiple programs and locations

  • Experience with aircraft operations Preferred

  • Prior experience in aerospace or MRO environments.

Summary Pay Range Level 2: $82,450 - $111,550

Summary Pay Range Level 3: $98,600 - $133,400
