Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for an Associate Quality Systems Specialist to join our Core Quality  team in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, the selected candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of Quality Management System (QMS) compliance and auditing / surveillance techniques. The work will be highly task based and will require flexibility, curiosity, collaboration, and ability to influence outcomes with data and planned actions.

Position Responsibilities:    

  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations.
  • Works collaboratively to improve site surveillance and audit approaches.
  • Executes site surveillance plan and influences future surveillance plans.
  • Interfaces with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), Government Ground Representative (GGR), and Government Flight Representative (GFR) to understand customer concerns and implement plans to mitigate them.
  • Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution.
  • Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.
  • Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and measures plan effectiveness to ensure completion.
  • Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementation.
  • Works under direct supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 2+ years of experience with aerospace product inspection and/or auditing.
  • 2+ years of experience interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience working in a cross functional environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications like MS Word and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience auditing to AS9100 standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in applying LEAN manufacturing/RCCA techniques for process improvement.
  • Experience interfacing with DCMA or other regulatory agency personnel.
  • AS9100 lead auditor trained.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

SalarySummary Range: $67,150 - $90,850/Annually
