Boeing Brazil is seeking a Associate Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer, reporting to the Safety Manager working out of the São José Dos Campos office.

The Associate Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer will be responsible to ensure airplane level safety analysis are appropriately conducted. Understanding the complex integration of airplane systems, human factors, and airplane integration into the operational environment are required in this role.

Familiarity with ARP-4754, ARP-4761, safety analysis, and hazard assessments will greatly benefit you in this role. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Participate in safety design and analyses supporting program stakeholders and leadership.

  • Validate and verify airplane level safety requirements.

  • Participate in airplane level design trade studies, safety analyses, and functional integration assessments.

  • Ensure adequate redundancy and physical separation of critical systems.

  • Update safety processes according to the last industry standards, regulations, best practices, and lessons.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.

  • Must have a Bachelor Degree in engineering.

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Familiarity with FAR Part 25.1309, and industry practices like ARP 4761 & 4754.

  • Knowledge of safety requirements, system safety analysis such as Risk Assessments, Functional Hazard Assessments (FHA), Fault-tree Analysis (FTA), and system design or system integration is required.

Relocation: 

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. 

Additional Information: 

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.  

Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
