Boeing Brazil is seeking an Associate Propulsion Structural Analysis Engineer, reporting to the Propulsion Structures Engineering Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos office.

The Associate Propulsion Structural Analysis Engineer will join Boeing Commercial Aircraft Structure team who provide support for the primary and secondary structure of the 7 series Boeing Fleets.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works on development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design

  • Participates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment

  • Works on product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance

  • Works on development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

  • Works on documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied

  • Supports in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Develops analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort

  • Works under direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
  • Must have a degree in Engineering.
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
  • Relevant experience with structural engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Relevant experience in structural analysis methods and tools (Hand-Calculation and Finite Element Analysis Method).

  • Relevant experience in design and analysis of metallic and/or composite materials.

  • Relevant experience in durability and damage tolerance analysis.

  • Relevant experience in compliance demonstration for regulatory requirements (ANAC/FAA).

  • Relevant experience in Fleet Support and Repair’s design and substantiation.

  • Understanding industry best practices in airframe structure and loadpaths.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
