Boeing Brazil is seeking Associate​ Research Engineer - Structural Design, reporting to the Manager of the Digital Engineering Team, working out of the São José dos Campos office.
The Associate​ Research Engineer - Structural Desig will contribute to the mission of Boeing’s Digital Engineering Innovation Hub, a global initiative supporting the digital transformation of Boeing’s engineering. The activities range from conducting R&D projects to providing direct support to Boeing’s engineering functions and programs.
As a Design Engineer you’ll be joining an interdisciplinary team focusing on the development of digital engineering solutions.


Position responsibilities:


•    Conduct research in Structural Design, with emphasis on Digital processes, methods and tools.
•    Assists with development, maintenance and modification of payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. 
•    Assists on the development of Model-based Systems Engineering solutions for better integration of engineering processes and tools across all disciplines, (incl. systems engineering, design engineering, structural analysis, avionics, etc.), focusing on digital continuity.
•    Analyze and efficiently present engineering results.
•    Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners.
•    Occasional travel may be required.


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. This means that the selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


•   Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.

•   Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.

•   Must have a degree in Engineering in Aeronautical, Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering.

Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy •   •   Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). 

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

•   Relevant experience in scripting/coding in Python programming language.
•   Relevant experience in scripting/coding in CATIA VBA API.
•   Relevant experience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, etc…).
•   Relevant experience with structural design principles for aircraft.
•   Some experience with Agile methodologies.

Relocation: 

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. 

Additional Information: 

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.  

Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
