Boeing Brazil is seeking a LATAM Payroll Specialist Lead, reporting to the International Payroll Manager, working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office. 


The LATAM Payroll Specialist Lead is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of accurate and timely payroll for all employees in the region. This role ensures compliance with statutory requirements, internal controls, and company policies, while providing expert guidance on all payroll-related matters. The Payroll Specialist Lead acts as owner the payroll process and delivers outcomes through effective management of payroll providers, internal stakeholders, and support teams while focusing on process improvement and elevation of employees’ experience.

Position Responsibilities:


•    Leads execution of payrolls for LATAM as assigned to ensure accurate and timely payroll processes
•    Maintains clear ownership of all payroll processes, controls, and governance frameworks
•    Supports first time quality in leading payroll execution by managing program metrics. Help define and track KPIs and ensure performance within targeted measures
•    Ensures robust payroll process documentation and training for internal and external teams
•    Facilitates the resolution of issues. Engages with CloudPay and TCS representatives to align on features, integrations and issue resolutions (pre and post payroll)
•    Analyzes and helps interpret sophisticated, policies and payroll per in country regulatory requirements
•    Drives continuous improvement and standardization across payroll operations and systems
•    Teams with other Boeing organizations (e.g. Human Resources, Compensation and Benefits, Business Support Managers in region) to address and support cross-organizational payroll process
•    Manage relationships with external payroll vendors, auditors, and HMRC, ensuring service levels and compliance are maintained.
•    Partner with Finance on payroll accounting, reconciliations, and reporting.
•    Ensures payroll operations are fully compliant with LATAM region’s statutory requirements 
•    Ensures and maintains compliance, by improving internal controls, guidelines to regulatory requirements
•    Proactively identify risks, issues, and improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions where required.
•    Lead initiatives to optimize payroll processes through automation, system enhancements, and improved data integrity.
•    Monitor payroll performance metrics and drive service excellence.
•    Stay current with changes in the region payroll legislation and assess impacts on payroll operations.

This position is hybrid / Telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

•    Must have existing rights to work in Brazil 
•    Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English and Portuguese Language
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, Business or related field preferred.
•    Payroll experience managing LATAM countries 
•    Practical experience with at least one global payroll platform and vendor-managed payroll environments
•    Prior exposure to payroll reconciliations, statutory compliance and payroll reporting.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

•    Strong knowledge of LATAM payrolls legislation, statutory filings and tax requirements.
•    Hands-on experience with payroll platforms and tools — familiarity with CloudPay, Workday and ServiceNow advantageous.
•    Solid skills in payroll calculations, benefits, deductions, off-cycle payments, and corrections.
•    Proficient in post-payroll reconciliation and troubleshooting with sound analytical capability to resolve complex exceptions.
•    Understanding of upstream HR data flows (time and attendance, benefits, HRIS) and downstream integrations to finance and statutory reporting.
•    Experience with payroll reporting, data extracts, and data analysis (spreadsheet proficiency).
