Boeing Brazil is seeking Mechanical and Structural Engineering Manager, reporting to the Structures Senior Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos office.
The Mechanical and Structural Engineering Manager will join the Structures Design and Stress team and will find leaders to fill multiple spots within our organization.

Position Responsibilities:


•    Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Mechanical & Structural Engineering and Design
•    Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
•    Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
•    Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
•    Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
•    Manages, develops and motivates employees
•    Establish an open, inclusive, and innovative team culture
•    Lead, develop and engage our people within multiple Engineering disciplines

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 


•    Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
•    Must have a bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
•    Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
•    Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
•    Experience in Engineering design and/or analysis.
•    Strong execution, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience): 


•    Experience leading or managing technical teams.

•    Experience with product integrity and in-service safety, and/or mission assurance
•    Proven expertise in performing stress analyses and/or developing designs for mechanical systems with movable parts, such as actuators, landing gear, and hydraulic components (e.g. manifolds), while considering manufacturability and production methods.
•    Experience in leading, coaching and developing others (including those who are not your direct reports)
•    Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
