Boeing Brazil is seeking a Mid Career Avionics/IMA System Engineer, reporting to the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Manager, working out of the São Jose dos Campos office.
The Mid Career Avionics/IMA System Engineer, will join the Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) team. All projects focus on design, development, and production support of Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA) Platform Architecture and Airplane Electronic Hardware (AEH) & Software.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Work with component design, development and qualification per DO-160 and DO-254.
  • Work with System Requirements documentation, validation, and verification per ARP-4754A.
  • Work with hardware development including AEH devices CsoC, FPGA.
  • Oversee integration with IMA Platform hosted functions to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Develop and oversee execution of verification plan for system designs to meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Oversee supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements and schedule.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
  • Must have a degree in electrical or computer Engineering.
  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). 
  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Experience with Electronic Systems hardware and software design.
  • Experience in certifying electronic systems designs through FAA or other regulatory agencies.
  • Experience with systems design during an airplane development program including Amended Type Certification.
  • Demonstrated project management skills within a fast paced highly integrated environment
  • Experience with Aerospace Networking Standards such as ARINC664, ARINC825.
  • Experience with Model Based Development tools.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. 

Additional Information: 

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.  

Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
