Boeing Brazil is seeking a Mid-Career Environmental Control Systems Design & Analysis Engineer working out of the Sao Jose Dos Campos office.


The successful candidate will be responsible for the integration of Environmental Control Systems (ECS) supplier driven changes, ensuring cross-functional alignment between design, manufacturing, fleet and supply-chain operations.


We are looking for a professional who combines strong technical and analytical capabilities with a process-oriented mindset, ideally gained from experience in aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing industries.

Position Responsibilities:


•    Integrate Environmental Control Systems (ECS) and related high-pressure pneumatic and thermal control subsystems for in-production aircraft and related platforms.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align ECS design with production processes, supplier performance, and quality systems.
•    Lead or support process optimization, standardization, and technical integration initiatives to enhance system performance and compliance.
•    Ensure documentation and process traceability according to internal and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS9100).
•    Apply data-driven methods and digital tools (Power BI, Excel, or equivalent) to monitor and improve engineering metrics.
•    Support problem-solving, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement activities across engineering and operations.
•    Contribute to test planning, verification, and validation of ECS design updates and supplier-provided systems.
•    Provide mentoring and technical guidance to junior engineers and partners.
•    Drive collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure system integrity, efficiency, and compliance.

This position is hybrid / Telecommuting. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


•    Must have existing rights to work in Brazil 
•    Must have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering  
•    Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor. 
•    Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language
•    Proven experience in engineering systems, process integration, or quality assurance within complex, regulated industries (aerospace, automotive, or industrial manufacturing).
•    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
•    Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across multiple functions and global teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):


•    Knowledge in airplane development and/or support for airplane customers or production lines.
•    Experience in Environmental Control Systems for airplane applications.
•    Experience with airplane certification and/or FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System) for in-production aircraft.
•    Knowledge of aerospace industry standards and regulations (e.g., RTCA DO-160, SAE ARP 4754, SAE ARP 4761, and applicable Aerospace Regulations).
•    Familiarity with Systems Engineering or Model-Based Systems Engineering (SE/MBSE) practices.
•    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, influence, and drive technical collaboration across disciplines.
