Boeing Brazil is seeking Mid-CareerStructural Analysis Engineer, with knowledge of stress analysis methods, engineering principles and coordination skills, reporting to the Structures Manager, working in the São José dos Campos office.

The Mid-Career Structural Analysis Engineer will join Boeing Global Services and/or Boeing Commercial Aircraft Structures team and will develop and provide support for the primary and secondary structure of the 7-Series Boeing Fleet.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop, integrate and document structural modifications on system and sub-system levels.

  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity of parts and components by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to ensure safety, quality and performance of the product.

  • Participate on customers and other stakeholders’ communication to drive solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

  • Investigate root causes and customer’s reports and provide timely responses to the fleet events.

  • Define affected structural requirements, create certification reports (analysis or tests) to substantiate stress analysis results to be disclosed and approved by customers and regulatory agencies.

  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.

  • Works under general direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil

  • Must have a Bachelor Degree in Engineering 

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor

  • Experience with Structures Engineering

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Experience in structural analysis methods and tools (Hand-Calculation and Finite Element Analysis Method).

  • Experience with design and analysis of metallic and/or composite materials.

  • Experience with durability and damage tolerance analysis.

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
