Boeing Brazil is seeking Senior Product Security Engineer, reporting to the Safety & Airworthiness Manager, working out of the São José Dos Campos office.

The Senior Product Security Engineer will lead risk assessments and vulnerability analyses, report findings, develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security compliance and support the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Product Security Engineering (PSE) teams. The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience in risk management and cybersecurity, and familiarity with NIST SP 800-30 and other relevant standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assess risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of the product assets and laboratory environment in accordance with accepted industry, professional, and government standards to ensure security, design integrity, availability, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.

  • Use industry best practices, such as ED-203A, to catalog potential threats.

  • Identify critical assets and align security goals with the principles of Confidentiality, Integrity, and Availability (CIA).

  • Engage with executive leadership, functional leadership, cross functional teams, and business partners to influence and promote a culture of proactive risk management.

  • Develop security assessment strategies, including threat modeling, attack surface analyses, and penetration test coordination.

  • Lead comprehensive security risk assessments across hardware, software, and systems.

  • Technical collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams including systems engineering, software development, and program management.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language

  • Experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, network security or cybersecurity

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Working knowledge in systems, engineering, systems integration, airplane systems and/or airplane certification.

  • Experience in cybersecurity, security network architecture, embedded systems security, security testing and evaluation, network design, or PKI infrastructure.

  • Strong background in product security engineering with a proven ability to conduct threat modeling, risk analysis, and system level security assessments for complex platforms.

  • Expertise in applying industry security and risk management standards including ISO 31000, NIST SP 800 series, and EASA regulation 965/2012 within regulated environments.

  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, senior stakeholders, and certification authorities I.E FAA, EASA

  • Experience planning and executing penetration tests in one of more of the following domains:
    - Windows and Linux Operating Systems and IP-based networks;
    - Web applications;
    - Avionics, embedded systems, non-standard ethernet protocols (ARINC, etc.);

  • Experience coordinating and presenting technical content to a diverse audience

  • Possess one or more security certifications, including but not limited to: CISSP; Security+; CEH; CCNA; UNIX/LINUX System Administration; GIAC GPEN, GWAPT, or GXPN; Offensive Security Certified Engineer (OSCE); Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP).

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil.
