We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our dynamic and experienced Structures Engineering teamin Brazil.

The Senior Structural Design Engineer will join Boeing Commercial Aircraft Structures team and will develop and provide support for the primary and secondary structure of a wide variety of the 7-Series Boeing Products and Fleet.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop, integrate and document structural modifications on system and sub-system levels.

  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity of parts and components by using analytical methods, design and analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to ensure safety, quality and performance of the product.

  • Participate in customers and other stakeholders’ communication to drive solutions that meet or exceed expectations.

  • Harmonize and deploy functional excellence plans and strategic leadership actions within the structure’s teams, fostering a long-term global capability integration.

  • Consolidate internal and external communications and reviews with internal and external stakeholders and partners teams.

  • Create and deploy strategic initiatives towards efficiency, value-stream optimization and innovation efforts amongst the structure’s leadership team, while maintaining a solid progression-to-plan tracking for implementation and communication with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead the development, integration and documentation of structural changes and modifications on system and sub-system levels. 

  • Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements. 

  • Develop structural engineering processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency. 

  • Lead the solution of product non-conformities for structural integrity impacts and identify, document and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety. 

  • Be a role model for the younger engineers, guiding and serving as an example for the entire team.  

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have existing rights to work in Brazil. 

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences)

  • Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). 

  • In-depth experience with Structures Engineering. 

  • Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language. 

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • Experience in aerospace structural development and certification.

  • In-depth experience with structural design and/or analysis of metallic and/or composite structures.

  • Experience with project management techniques and best practices

  • Leads airplane or structural configuration changes Design Reviews. 

  • In-depth experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment. 

  • Positive & proactive mindset, highly motivated willing to manage multiple assignments and work with appropriate sense of urgency. 

  • Proactive collaboration with US customers teams, building positive multi-cultural relationships.

 This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
