Boeing Global Services is currently seeking a BGS Supply Chain Engineering Manufacturing/Tooling Analyst to become part of the team in Seal Beach, CA. This person will have the opportunity to work on multiple Boeing and heritage McDonnell Douglas Commercial Airplane models by providing tooling support for spare parts procurement. The individual will conduct tooling research for both in production and out of production aircraft to assist Supply Chain representatives with valued tooling information toward the supplier bidding process using SAP software. This role will partner with Senior Tool Engineers to develop our tooling strategy to optimize how we store, disposition, and manage Out-of-Production Tooling. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple other engineering workstreams, supply chain specialists, third-party logistics warehouse

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Seal Beach, CA facility.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Check ME QBS (Quote Back Sheet)
  • Review Drawings and analyze how the part is fabricated
  • Review list of available tools
  • Contact Suppliers if necessary to verifying tooling location
  • Complete Tooling portion of QBS Document

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with common manufacturing processes as they relate to tooling, including casting, machining, forging, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending, welding, molding, composite layup, and assembly.
  • Experience differentiating the different part commodities/part build strategies and what tool types are generally used for each commodity.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working in an Equipment or Tool Engineering role
  • Experience working in a production environment
  • Experience with Numerical Control (NC) programming
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $87,550 - $118,540
