Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking to bring on a senior manager level Regional Director for the Commercial Field Service team based Seal Beach, CA, Seattle, WA, North Charleston, SC, Arlington, CA or Berkeley, MO.

Position Overview:

The domestic or international assignment locations may not be known at the time of candidate selection. As such, candidates must be able to follow worldwide immigration and health policies and in some cases our airline customers’ health policies. Assignment benefits are provided for assignment locations in accordance with company and organizational policies.

Because the candidate selected will be expected to go on a domestic or international assignment, the offer will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services and the receipt of a visa/work permit to the country in which he or she will be assigned. These contingencies also apply to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate.

The selected candidates will be responsible for managing team providing direct customer support for a geographic region for a set of customers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages Field Service first-level managers and employees performing technical support for commercial airplanes and are co-located at a customer facility.

  • Develops and executes customer support strategies and tactics to support customer commitments, gain competitive advantage, and foster business growth.

  • Directs coordination of technical and administrative support activities for a variety of customer issues.

  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed locations.

Long-term Assignment details:

  • Candidate must be able to obtain a work visa, depending on requirements of the country.

  • Requires ability to pass security background checks necessary for airport and customer badging.

  • Candidate must be able to meet the cultural requirements of the country, as applicable.   

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working in an aviation-related engineering, technical and/or maintenance positions (or equivalent) directly supporting airline or government customers

  • 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and external customers

  • 3+ years of experience in a engineering leadership (in lead or manager role)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and 10 or more years of related work experience, OR an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • Experience in providing customer support for commercial airlines preferred

  • Experience in working in a global environment preferred

  • A&P license

  • Experience in managing dispersed teams preferred

Pay and Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range:

$168,000 - $228,000

  • Relocations benefits from the primary location to the long-term assignments location will be provided separately.
