Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Manager to join the Engineering Integration Organization in Seal Beach, CA. This leader will set the strategy, operating model, and priorities for an organization delivering 24/7 customer support technology, in-service data capabilities, and reliability analytics across the Boeing fleet.

The Senior Manager will lead multiple managers and multi‑disciplinary teams (engineering, product, data science/analytics, IT integration, quality, and lean) and will be accountable for delivering scalable, secure, compliant, and high‑value digital and analytics solutions that improve airline operational performance and Boeing Customer Support outcomes.

This role also serves as a key integrator across Customer Support—partnering to shape workforce strategy, drive innovation and modernization, and provide leadership/representation on safety governance boards.

Role summary:

  • Lead managers and teams (domestic & global) in an organization responsible for customer support technology integration, reliability analytics, and enterprise data management.

  • Provide technical and strategic leadership across analytics, data science, and digital product portfolios—ensuring insights are actionable, trusted, and operationalized into tools and workflows.

  • Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Analytics & data science leadership: Lead analytics/data science managers and teams delivering reliability and performance insights; ensure appropriate statistical rigor, model validation, governance, and clear communication of results for operational decision-making.

  • Data product & platform strategy: Set the vision for in‑service data ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption; drive modernization of data architecture (orchestration, observability, data quality, metadata, lineage, and governance).

  • IT Partnership & Technology Integration: Align with IT and Enterprise Architecture on scalable, secure solutions; influence cloud/on-prem infrastructure, integration, API strategy, identity/access, performance, and resilience.

  • Workforce Strategy Leadership: Collaborate with Customer Support and leaders to develop multi-year workforce plans covering skills, hiring, development, succession, and organizational health.

  • Execution & Delivery Governance: Establish governance, metrics, and operating rhythms; manage prioritization, dependencies, budget, vendors, and risk across multiple programs.

  • Customer & Stakeholder Leadership: Build executive relationships with airline customers and internal teams; translate complex needs into actionable roadmaps and outcomes.

  • External/Industry Leadership: Lead industry forums and data conferences; advance Boeing’s in-service data strategy and broaden analytics adoption company-wide.

  • Travel: Ability and willingness to travel both domestic and internationally as needed.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

  • 1+ years of experience working as a manager in which you had other managers as direct reports

  • 3+ years of experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment

  • Ability to support operations and team in 24/7 environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience working with customers on technical and business issues

  • 5+ years leading leaders (managers) and cross‑functional teams, including analytics and/or IT-integrated product delivery.

  • 5+ years aviation experience (Customer Support, engineering, operations, reliability, or related).

  • Proven success leading analytics and data organizations through managers delivering production-grade insight products and measurable operational outcomes.

  • Strong working knowledge of data science, analytics, and modern data platforms sufficient to set technical direction, evaluate approaches, and ensure governance and trust in results.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with IT/enterprise architecture to deliver secure, scalable solutions (cloud/on‑prem, APIs/services, DevSecOps, monitoring/SLAs, cybersecurity).

  • Demonstrated leadership in workforce strategy, including capability building, talent development, and organizational design.

  • Credible leadership in safety governance, risk management, and compliance-oriented decision making.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range:

$182,000 - $246,000
