The Boeing Commercial Airplane (BCA) Customer Support organization is seeking a MaintenanceEngineering Senior Manager to lead first-level managers and personnel performing Maintenance Engineering functions within multiple Engineering/Technical disciplines.  Maintenance Engineering consists of a diverse work statement comprised of experienced engineering and technical experts on airplane maintenance, certification, and support equipment design. Specifically, this role will lead the Maintenance Technologies and Operations team.  This position is located in beautiful Seal Beach, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensures safety, quality and integrity is built into the products (maintenance manuals, technical documents, etc.) delivered to the customer.

  • Develops and implements integrated departmental plans to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved.

  • Assigns authority and responsibilities to first-level managers to execute the plan. Reviews plans' execution, makes appropriate adjustments, and resolves issues.

  • Forecasts, obtains and manages personnel, facilities, services, equipment and tools to meet project and departmental requirements.

  • Develops plans to ensure appropriate utilization of employee skills within an organization or functional area.

  • Establishes partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports.

  • Builds strategic cross-functional and cross-organizational partnerships to resolve problems, improve processes or achieve goals.

  • Provides oversight and approvals to ensure the project's technical approach and deliverables comply with customer, company, quality, industry and regulatory requirements.

  • Coaches, counsels, mentors and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilities of first-level managers and others within their department.

  • Provides on-going developmental feedback.

Work Authorization:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Seal Beach, CA.

Basic Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 2+ years of experience leading/managing direct reports

  • 7+ years pf experience in an engineering discipline

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Maintenance Engineering

  • Experience with US or Foreign regulatory agencies

  • Experience with cross functional partnerships

  • Experience with organizational and team building skills performed in a cross-functional environment.

  • Engineering knowledge and judgment in a manager role.

  • Experience in non-recurring or new product development.

Pay and Benefits:

Summary Pay Range:

$181,900 - $246,100
