Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Packaging and Shipping Planner - C (Career Level) to join our Distribution Center team in SeaTac, WA. With a focus on innovative services, this role will support First Time Quality (FTQ) by ensuring all Boeing products are preserved, packaged, handled, and transported properly until required for use.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Uses business and information systems as required to access data to determine material characteristics

  • Develops simple packaging plans using established packaging guidelines

  • With limited supervision, evaluates routine materials for dangerous goods properties to classify in accordance with applicable regulations

  • Maintains and reports records of packaging designs, specifications and shipments as required by regulatory agencies

  • Evaluates hardware to develop protective packaging designs and design requirements using established packaging guidelines

  • Seeks guidance from more experienced employees on complex issues

  • Investigates damaged hardware for possible causes and suggests possible resolution

  • Work in shipping area to create packaging instructions and provide guidance to packaging personnel

  • Manually measure parts to determine proper size and style of packaging needed to offer the best protection during shipment to airline customers

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in SeaTac, WA.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required.  “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, or customer service environment

  • 3+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications

  • 3+ years of experience collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommendations from appropriate data sources

  • 3+ years of experience working in Supply Chain, Logistics or Material Management Services (MMS); (including transportation, shipping, receiving, and storage procedures to understand and identify potential requirements and impacts)

  • 3+ years of experience in a packing, handling, storage, or transportation (PHS&T) role

  • 3+ years of measurement experience do you have in a production/factory environment

  • 3+ years of experience with Enterprise Resource Planning and Supply Chain Systems; SAP, GOLD, TAMS (WOW, COPPR, TAV)?

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Ability work 2nd shift, as required by this position including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to meet business needs)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience or training in applying shop math

  • 3+ years of experience in dangerous goods, regulations, and assessments

  • 5+ or more years of related work or military experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Summary pay range: $44,200 - $59,800
