The Boeing Enterprise Artificial Intelligence & Data (EAI&D) team is seeking a Data Stewardship Senior Manager in Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; Mesa, AZ; or Ridley Park, PA; or Plano, TX. The role is responsible for defining and leading Data Stewardship across the enterprise while aligning it with Boeing’s objectives to enable compliance and business value across the enterprise.

This manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to enable data stewardship across product lifecycle from conception to launch, driving adoption of new data driven products. The role will engage directly with the business users and stakeholders across Boeing and will be accountable for driving data stewardship enabling digital thread, Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications, global data classification and data access, unlocking business value and driving culture change.

Additional responsibilities for this role include defining data stewardship roles and responsibilities, identifying and prioritizing business needs, de-risking product development, monitoring data product performance, driving data maturity and managing enterprise data stewards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own defining, implementing and enabling federated data stewardship across the enterprise

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive data product plans and roadmaps, ensuring that features are delivered on time and within scope, unlocking business value

  • Drive Data Stewardship adoption across product development

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the data product strategy and roadmap are aligned to the division strategy and objectives and key results (OKRs)

  • Establish a result-oriented, strong execution team and operating rhythm for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment of products

  • Establish data maturity measurement across the data and AI product development life cycle for clarity in progress and business value delivered

  • Develop end to end knowledge base across the data product life cycle to build an impactful story beyond project execution for stakeholders at both working and leadership levels

  • Mentor, develop and evaluate product development teams

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience in leading Data Stewardship

  • 5+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • 5+ years of experience working within a global development team

  • 5+ years of experience in Information Technology & Data Analytics (IT&DA)

  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change

  • Willing and able to travel 10-20% of the time, both internationally and domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s Degree or higher in Engineering or Information Technology

  • Experience with navigating through ambiguities and building a highly effective, strong execution team for the overall product success

  • Experience with agile implementation and CI/CD

  • Experience in developing strategy and implementation of digital thread concept in industrial domain

  • Experience defining and implementing digital thread technologies in an industrial domain

  • Experience building and leading technical teams in data, digital and analytics within industrial domain

  • Experience interfacing between business and technical domains

  • Experience influencing at all levels of the organization

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $151,300 – $218,500
