The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking an Electrical Design and Analysis Engineer to join our team in Seattle, Washington

This position will support the Integrated Aircraft Systems Laboratory (IASL) team, providing comprehensive support for all aspects of simulations related to test engineering development, testing, and studies.  In this role, you will be responsible for integrating simulations into test systems that evaluate Avionics, Propulsion, Flight Control, Hydraulic, Electrical, Braking, and Environmental Control Systems.

The selected candidate will be a versatile technical professional who can lead or contribute effectively within a small team and operate independently with minimal supervision. They will work closely with test engineers to define, execute, and troubleshoot system integration test stations, develop software in compliance with established processes and standards, and maintain required documentation and traceability. The role requires adaptability to evolving tools and procedures and hands-on experience with hardware–software integration, including avionics data-bus standards ARINC 429 and ARINC 629.

Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level or Senior Electrical Design and Analysis Engineers.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Develops, maintains, and troubleshoots test system software models, I/O files, and tools

  • Supports new simulation release activities, test system restoration efforts, and performance analysis of test systems

  • Analyzes and resolves problem reports and change requests

  • Leads projects or works independently as required

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 2+ years of experience with modern programming and scripting languages such as C++, Java, JavaScript, Perl, Python, Visual Basic

  • 2+ years of experience with specifications and standards pertinent to hardware/software development (for instance, ARINC 429, or other bus architecture

  • 5+ years of experience with system integration, testing and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 4: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 2+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience in developing project plans (schedule, resources, and budget)

  • Experience and/or education in logic modeling tools, such as MATLAB/Simulink

  • Familiar with Boeing Specification Control Drawings (SCDs)

  • Experience with Boeing Parallel Simulation System (PSIM) or similar large-scale simulation and testing framework

  • Understanding of software structure and configuration control

  • Knowledge of airplane systems and real-time software test systems

  • Proficient with Specification Control Documents (SCD) and Functional Schematic Documents (FSD) for electrical and mechanical systems

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range Mid-Level: $102,850 - $139,150

Summary Pay Range Senior Level: $128,350 - $173,650
