Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for First-Line Flightline Operations Managers (Level K) to support the 737 Decorative Paint Team in Seattle and Renton, Washington.

Successful candidates will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace and elevate our values-based culture, optimize tools and key performance indicators. Decorative Paint Operations team embraces a safety and first pass quality culture requiring leaders at every level to be committed to our team members’ success. FOD-free product and clean as you go is vital to maintaining compliance, this also requires a steadfast commitment to our standards, our people and our customer. This position is about helping our teammates and peers elevate and accelerate our business while holding steadfast to our values.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that air vehicles are completed and pass certification for airworthiness by overseeing final component installation, systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, preflight and postflight checks, release for flight, and preparation for delivery

  • Interfaces with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Manages, develops and motivates employees

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience of experience in an Aerospace, Fabrication or Manufacturing environment

  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role

  • 1+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Willing to work any shift (may be selected for 2nd or 3rd shift)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Decorative Paint Operations

  • 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role

  • 3+ years of experience working with Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES)

Shift:

These positions are for 2nd and 3rd shift, placement will be determined once candidates are selected. Must be willing to support on any shift.

Summary pay range:  $120,600 - $147,400
