The Boeing Company is looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented Mid-Level Database Administrator to join the team in Plano, TX; Seattle, WA; Ridley Park, PA; Hazelwood, MO; or Berkeley, MO.

The Database (DB) Administrator will ensure that the DB systems stay compliant by monitoring and deploying security patches and other critical updates as needed while developing and maintaining a backup strategy that stores DB backups and integrates retention, lifecycle policies, and secure access controls.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive disaster recovery strategy, including recovery objectives, fail over procedures, testing plans, and ongoing support

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database monitoring strategy, including metrics, alerting, dashboards, and ongoing support

  • Provide support in United States (US) for databases subject to International Traffic Arms and Regulations (ITAR) compliance, with strict access controls and audit trails

  • Diagnose and resolve database performance issues during both pee-release tests and post-release operations, including root-cause analysis and performance tuning

  • Interact and communicate with project leadership and users to ensure adherence to application security best practices

  • Monitor incoming requests and provide appropriate support Identify improvement opportunities and assist with their implementation efforts

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience within information technology

  • Experience with SQL and Oracle database maintenance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience within information technology

  • Experience with strong communications skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $97,750 - $141,450
