The Boeing Company is seeking a News Creator Engagement Lead, preferably based in Seattle, WA; or Los Angeles, CA; or near the following Boeing sites: Arlington, VA; Berkely, MO; Hazelwood, MO; Chicago, IL; Mesa, AZ; Huntsville, AL; Oklahoma City, OK or Philadelphia, PA. This person will play a central role in advancing Boeing's enterprise communications strategy by building and growing relationships with the rapidly expanding universe of independent social media news creators and influencers.

Responsibilities include identifying, cultivating and maintaining relationships with creators, ensuring alignment with brand messaging, campaign goals and Boeing’s values. The News Creator Engagement Lead will proactively look for opportunities to include creators in events, share relevant news, collaborate with social strategists to engage with creator content, build and maintain strong creator relationships, and measure performance analytics to improve outcomes. 

The ideal candidate will demonstrate good judgment, maintain discretion, take initiative and collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners throughout the organization. Some travel, in support of news creator engagement and event plan execution, is required.

Position Responsibilities:

News Creator Identification and Relationship Management:

  • Research and identify relevant news creators based on target audience, brand and values alignment, and campaign goals.  

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with news creators, acting as the primary point of contact.  

  • As needed, support contracts and agreements with creators. 

Content Strategy:

  • Collaborate with news creators to provide information and brand messaging so they may create content that resonates with target audiences and contributes to engaging reporting of Boeing’s news and events.  

  • Provide reviews, as needed, to ensure content is high-quality, engaging, and aligns with brand voice and guidelines. 

  • Partner with the global social media team to deconflict sharing creator content across Boeing’s global handles with planned earned content. 

  • Proactively look for and engage with creator content from Boeing handles, planning potential engagement options with Communicators across Boeing.

Campaign Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement news creator campaigns aligned with business objectives.  

  • Coordinate campaign logistics, content reviews and campaign launches with Communications colleagues.  

  • Monitor campaign performance and adjust, as needed.  

Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Tracking key metrics such as reach, engagement and sentiment  

  • Analyzing campaign data to identify what's working and what needs improvement.  

  • Generate reports and provide insights to internal team members.   

  • Keep abreast of the latest trends of social media and news creators 

  • Continuously learn and apply best practices on social media platforms and tools 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in communications and/or marketing

  • 5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines 

  • Experience working with the media, external influencers, and social and digital channels (experience as a news creator or working with them )

  • 3+ years of experience with technical writing and editing

  • Effective written and verbal communication demonstrated experience in presentation, speaking, report writing, procedures

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 10+ years of experience in communications

  • Demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to influence others to drive results

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range: $104,550 - $162,150
