Boeing Seattle is seeking a Project Manager in Seattle, WA to guide a team automating flight data translations within the Boeing Global Services, reporting to the Manager of Prognostics Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for highly complex or difficult projects, programs and change driven activities to execute in accordance with project management industry standards.

  • Directs and provides high level studies/analysis (trend, variance, impact), determines scope, reports, and oversight of planning requests.

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation planning and refines the business case.

  • Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of plans and schedules.

  • Consults and recommends integrated planning, scheduling, change and baseline management, processes, techniques and tools to management considered to be best practices across the industry.

  • Recognized as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives.

  • Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders.

  • Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

  • 15+ years of related work experience

  • 9+ years in product management or product ownership for software products, including substantial experience working directly with software engineering teams in Agile/Scrum Methodology. Practical knowledge of SAFe/PMI will be a plus. 

  • Technical proficiency: familiarity with software development processes, integration patterns, system architecture basics, and modern software delivery standards 

Preferred qualifications 

  • Demonstrated success turning ambiguous customer needs into clear, buildable requirements; expert in breaking work into epics/features/stories 

  • Proven ability to operate in complex organizations: comfortable navigating hierarchy, engaging the right people, and building influence without formal authority. 

  • Experience in aviation, aerospace, or other safety-critical domains; familiarity with aircraft performance, operational workflows, or performance engineering concepts. 

  • Experience supporting programs with infrequent release cadences, including readiness planning, risk management, and coordinated stakeholder communications. 

  • Analytical and data-driven decision-making; experience using product analytics and operational data to prioritize and measure outcomes. 

  • Leadership presence with a bias for action: not discouraged by asking questions, pushing for alignment, or initiating the meetings needed to move work forward. 

  • Comfort with conflict and ambiguity; ability to resolve issues directly and professionally and to escalate thoughtfully when needed. 

  • Excellent communication skills: able to translate complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders and synthesize status/risks succinctly for leaders. 

  • SAFe, SCRUM or scaled agile experience (certifications a plus).

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $154,600 - $211,600
