The Boeing Company is looking for a Senior Automation Solution Architect to join the team in Seattle, WA; Seal Beach, CA; Long Beach, CA; Huntington Beach, CA; Hazelwood, MO; Berkeley, MO; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; Dallas, TX; or Ridley Park, PA.

Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Data GenAI team is looking for a Senior Automation Solution Architect to design and implement AI-powered virtual agents and task automation solutions across enterprise workflows.

This role will focus on applying Agentic AI technologies to streamline employee experience. You will collaborate with business process owners, product managers, developers, and vendor partners to build scalable solutions that understand user intent and take intelligent action.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze processes and user journeys to determine where Agentic AI can provide the most value, and prioritize use cases based on feasibility, impact, and Return on Investment (ROI)

  • Design technical architecture and workflows that enable AI agents to perform tasks, retrieve information, and interact with systems on behalf of users

  • Partner with process owners to simplify, standardize, and automate repetitive workflows through intelligent orchestration and AI-powered actions

  • Lead solution design across Application Programming Interface (APIs), data services, and enterprise tools to support seamless and secure automation

  • Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure agent behaviors align with organizational goals and policies

  • Guide the implementation of Commercial of the Shelf (COTS) platforms and custom components to support scalable deployment across multiple use cases and business areas

  • Prototype agent behaviors, evaluate real-world performance, and continuously improve capabilities through user feedback and data

  • Ensure security best practices are incorporated into solution design, including zero trust architecture, data privacy, and compliance, to safeguard enterprise environments

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology (IT) architecture with a focus on IT4IT, IT service management, and/or enterprise architecture

  • 3+ years of experience in Business Process Modeling, Process Management Skills, Integrated Systems Thinking, Business Case Analysis, Process Improvement Methods, Project Leadership, Building Positive Relationships, and/or Analytical Skills

  • 3+ years of experience with Restful APIs

  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud hosted platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#

  • Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI and Agentic AI

  • Experience building relationships and partnerships with all levels of employees, including executives

  • Experience in collaborative problem solving, building lasting relationships and proficiency in written and verbal communication

  • Experience transforming technical concepts into clear, actionable insights

  • Experience managing or leading the planning and execution of programs and projects

  • Experience being proactive, motivated, and initiating high-level tasks or projects independently with limited external direction or encouragement

  • Experience taking initiative, working autonomously, and contributing positively to a team's objectives

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $120,700 - $174,800
