The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Information Technology Project Management Specialist to join the team in Seattle, WA; Kent, WA; or Seal Beach, CA

The Information Technology (IT) Project Management Specialist will set up and drive our operating model, strengthen our business operations and set the foundational processes for Workplace Solutions (WS).

The successful candidate is a self-starter who can lead a broad set of technical teammates in an operational environment within Workplace Solutions.

Anticipate success in a dynamic business environment by fostering collaboration with colleagues and aligning various priorities with the strategic objectives of Workplace Solutions. Focus on enhancing efficiency, modernization, and financial performance within the Workplace Solutions strategy. Embrace innovative proof of concepts (POCs) alongside the development of new capabilities and technologies. Promote adoption and effective communication across the IT Business Partner (ITBP) community and the broader enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create organizational standards for use across all WS projects 

  • Manage milestones and tasks for all WS PMO activities 

  • Create stakeholder communications for WS Leadership Team (LT)

  • Ensure clear, concise project overview and status content is readily available for WS leaders 

  • Identify and lead process improvements across WS activities 

  • Create and manage complex (integrated project schedule across multiple teams) enterprise-wide project plans and lead activities to manage scope, budget, dependencies, risks and schedules for WS projects

  • Partner with all stakeholders (e.g. business, other IT teams, system integrators etc.) and drive timely delivery of the solution across all project phases (i.e.: M365 initiatives)

  • Build and continuously update knowledge on common core processes following industry best practices and roll out to product owners for full adoption and adherence

  • Ensure solutions built are scalable to high volume, flexible for future enhancements, and upgradable into next generation solutions (minimize customizations, incorporate across all product roadmaps)

  • Conduct regular stakeholder meetings to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns or issues

  • Share insights and best practices with project teams to enhance overall project execution and outcomes

  • Identify potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to address them

  • Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet defined standards and requirements

  • Develop and execute change management plans including training to facilitate smooth transitions to new systems and processes

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and track progress against established goals

  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making recommendations for in-flight and future projects

  • Monitor team performance and provide coaching and support to enhance team capabilities and effectiveness

  • Develop and implement integration strategies that align with business objectives and technical requirements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of solutions with existing systems and processes

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management

  • 5+ years of experience Integrated Project Management including the use of tools and metrics (i.e., earned value, schedule metrics, technical performance metrics, risk and opportunity tools)

  • 5+ years of experience with project management and/or office administration

  • 5+ years of experience establishing, improving and reinforcing functional discipline for first time quality performance, on-time delivery, and productivity improvements

  • 5+ years of experience influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and partnerships across functions

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role (i.e., manager, project manager, team lead, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Certifications such as SAFe, PMP, etc.

  • Experience with M365 and Microsoft Office Tools including Word, Outlook, Excel

  • Experience as a self-starter who can move through bureaucracy to enable execution and with credibility and integrity

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $173,400 – $234,600
