Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Senior Manager of Transportation Operations to join our Global Supply Chain Transportation & Logistics (GSCTL) team in Everett, WA or Seattle, WA.

This role provides leadership within the Transportation and Logistics organization, focusing on strategic planning, collaboration with stakeholders, and executing operational priorities.

The Senior Manager will oversee a team of over 55 employees across several states responsible for managing domestic and international shipments for Boeing Commercial Airplane Programs, supporting aircraft exports and direct customer interactions, cross-dock coordination, supplier-to-supplier shipment processing and monitoring, rail coordination, packaging engineering and support, dangerous goods compliance oversight, export compliance monitoring, third-party transportation provider management, and freight payment auditing.

The ideal candidate will be a team-oriented leader with experience in managing multi-location teams, overseeing complex projects, and addressing critical program requirements. They should be skilled in creating and evaluating key performance indicators (KPIs), managing budgets and schedules, and presenting information to senior executives.

Our team is looking for an experienced Senior Manager of Transportation Operations. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of over 55 employees and managers in Transportation and Logistics efforts.
  • Foster employee development and career growth through motivation and support.
  • Execute priorities related to all aspects of Transportation Operations statement of work.
  • Support aircraft exports and interact directly with customers
  • Implement Transportation Operations improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain function.
  • Collaborate effectively with senior management, cross-functional leaders, and key internal and 3rd party partners.
  • Develop and execute organizational plans, policies, and strategies to achieve business objectives.
  • Create and monitor KPIs for efficiency and performance, recommending and implementing changes as needed.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal leadership role
  • 5+ years of experience in managing or supporting large projects, working with many stakeholders, including stakeholders in different cultures
  • 5+ years of experience managing complex, large-scale logistics or supply chain management services for a global organization
  • 5+ years of experience interfacing with and supporting senior leadership
  • 5+ years of experience leading others and directing all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with organizing, planning, facilitating and executing customer logistics
  • Degree in Business related field with Supply Chain Major and/or Supply Chain Professional Certification
  • Direct experience with Dangerous Goods statement of work
  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment
  • Strong communicator at all levels
  • Experience with the application of lean principals and/or systems thinking
  • Demonstrated experience taking initiative, leading cross functional teams, working across organizational boundaries, and ensuring an inclusive environment

Summary pay range (Level M) $170,100 - $197,550
