Boeing’s Enterprise Cloud program is looking for a talented Senior Solution Cloud Architect to join the team in Seattle, WA; North Charleston, SC; Plano, TX; Ridley Park, PA; Berkeley, MO; or Seal Beach, CA.

This individual will shape and operationalize multi‑cloud Reference Architectures and lead customer cloud migrations and implementations.

You will partner across engineering, security, product, and customer teams to accelerate cloud adoption, improve onboarding velocity, and deliver measurable improvements in reliability, security, and cost efficiency.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Own design, delivery, and adoption of multi‑cloud Reference Architectures including Azure, Amazon Wed Services (AWS), Google Cloud Service Provider (GCP) and drive consistent implementation across programs

  • Lead end‑to‑end cloud engagements: assessments, proof‑of‑concepts, migration strategy, pilot deployments, and production rollouts

  • Embed technical and security controls into designs

  • Lead compliance, risk, and architecture reviews with customers and security teams

  • Define migration patterns and automation (Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines) and provide operational runbooks and playbooks to enable repeatable deployments

  • Drive measurable improvements in Architecture Services through Kep Performance Indicators (KPIs) (e.g., reduce onboarding time by X%, increase deployment frequency, reduce failure rate) and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Mentor and lead cross‑functional technical teams, influence senior stakeholders, and represent Architecture Services at program planning and senior leadership reviews

  • Produce clear policy, process, and architecture documentation to ensure compliance, maintainability, and operational efficiency

  • Contribute to vendor/tool evaluation and adoption decisions for cloud, security, and automation platforms

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience developing software products in a cloud computing environment e.g. Azure/AWS/Google Cloud

  • 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring a technical team

  • Experience with System Integration and design principles including service oriented architecture principles and application integration patterns 

  • Experience working cross-functionally in a leadership role

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in database design/development and cloud data architectures

  • Experience with DevOps Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation/Azure Resource Manager (ARM), GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

  • Experience with microservices design and distributed systems patterns

  • Experience with Value Stream Analysis and incremental process improvement methodologies

  • Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) or other Agile methodologies

  • Experience leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools (e.g., generative AI for design drafts, Machine Learning (ML)/data analysis platforms) to accelerate architecture design and derive actionable, data‑driven insights

  • Experience demonstrating an eagerness to experiment with and learn new AI technologies

  • Experience applying AI with a clear understanding of ethical, bias, and privacy considerations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $115,600 – $167,900
