The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Systems Design & Integration Specialist to join the Network Tools and Automation team in Seattle, WA; Berkeley, MO; or North Charleston, SC.   

Boeing Information Technology (IT) is on the lookout for a talented and innovative Senior Systems Integrator with a strong networking and tools background to join our dynamic team! Position Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders, Network Designers, Information Security, Corporate Communications and vendors using Lean and Agile concepts to deliver solutions for the enterprise network configuration & security automation

  • Develop Network Tools full suite administration that includes, system builds, Operating Systems auto-patching, application upgrades, Data Base patching and integration, security compliance and access controls, etc

  • Lead and perform the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements, service objectives, cost and security constraints, and deliver on the implementation of those strategies

  • Develop integration plans and implement scalable, secure and automated enterprise identity management system solutions

  • Create and document designs that conform to architectural and security standards to meet business requirements, aligning proven methods to our processes, policies and Pros

  • Prepare, deploy, and coordinate installation of complex implementation packages per Boeing standards

  • Lead vendor and component research evaluations and recommendations to establish architectural direction and technical roadmaps

  • Lead and perform implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects, using established project management methodologies for the purpose of controlling quality, costs, and adherence to the project plan

  • Support off shift, on call support on a rotational basis

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience with network design, architecture, protocols, security, and/or operations for effective network management and implementation

  • 5+ years of experience working on a configuration management (CM) team and/or working closely with a configuration management (CM) team

  • 5+ years of experience with Systems Administration UNIX/HP - UX/Linux/AIX

  • 5+ years of experience with scripting languages such as Perl or Python

  • 5+ years of experience with developing SQL queries

  • 5+ years of experience working with Source Control systems, such as Git and Perforce

  • 3+ years of experience with standardized Network Protocols and Services (i.e. TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in delivering network content and network operation systems using automated tools and solutions like Network Automation, CloudVision and Catalyst Center

  • Experience in scripting using Python, Perl, Bash, YAML, Git and Shell

  • Experience administering, upgrading, integrating and troubleshooting Linux operating systems

  • Experience in integrating applications with database technologies like Oracle and SQL

  • Experience with RESTful APIs

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $136,850 - $197,800
