Job Description:

We are currently recruiting a front-end developer intern who can design, develop, analyze, and test software systems (web / mobile applications) for Production System and Aircraft Operation team under Boeing Engineering & Technology Innovation – Korea (BE&TI-K). This team focuses on technology R&D and business development related to production, supply chain, and aircraft operation systems to design, build, and operate aircrafts better.

You will design, create, code, implement, and improve various software applications to provide a functional, seamless experience for the end-user. You need to have cross-discipline development skills involving front to create software applications, Also, you will be required to work in teams alongside front-end and back-end developers, UX/UI designers, product manager, and product owner to ensure all elements of web creations are consistent. This requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role is fundamental to the successful growth of BE&TI-K and it will require you to work both proactively and autonomously with a diverse team of colleagues and partners with varying experience across different business areas, domains and backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and identify the user’s needs, goals, behavior patterns, and model scenarios of user’s interaction

  • Communicate with customers to discover needs, validate assumptions, and gather feedback

  • Create user flows, high-fidelity UI mockups, and interactive prototypes using Figma, which would fulfill the user’s needs

  • Design intuitive, accessible interfaces that fulfill user needs and align with product goals and technical constraints

  • Maintain and apply component libraries and the design system

  • Troubleshoot user facing issues related to software or processes and propose UX-focused solutions

  • Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers

Basic Qualifications:

  • Great inter-personal skills and teamwork

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field

  • A strong portfolio with 2-3 case studies that clearly demonstrate a user-centered design process, problem framing, and measurable outcomes (required)

  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tool, Figma

  • Practical knowledge of user research methods, information architecture, and accessibility best practices

  • Experience planning and conducting usability testing and synthesizing insights into actionable design changes

  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/Typescript

  • Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js.

  • Good problem-solving skills, ability to balance user needs, business goals, and engineering constraints.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Graduates with Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field

  • Troubleshoot user facing issues related to software or processes and propose UX-focused solutions
