The Boeing AvionX Quality organization is seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Quality Engineer to join our growing team in Smithfield, PA. AvionX supports work across all Boeing business units (BDS, BCA & BGS).

Boeing AvionX develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms for purposes such as navigation, flight controls, information systems, and other core avionics functions.  Our requirement to build quality and reliable products is high.  

You will be working in a team environment collaborating with multiple functions. Your participation in the entire life cycle of our products is key.  You will integrate Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of program processes and documentation.

You will develop quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. Participate in reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs. You will performs analysis and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness. You will provide dispositions for non-conformances, analyzes non-conformance trends and provide corrective actions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Generate Inspection Instructions to identify assemblies are built to drawing

  • Review non-conformances for trends and identify corrective actions

  • Generate metrics to identify actions to improve quality

  • Identify discrepancies in workmanship / documentation and coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve issues

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science in an engineering field

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to conduct thorough reviews of technical documentation and assemblies

  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills

  • Additional education or certification in quality assurance

  • Experience with Microsoft Excel

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $60,350 - $81,650
