Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Mid-Level Electrical Manufacturing Engineer (Level 3) to join our dynamic team at Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and production of the CST-100 Starliner spacecraft, which is designed to transport crew to the International Space Station and beyond. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in manufacturing processes.

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and tooling requirements

  • Develop, implement, and improve manufacturing processes for the Starliner program

  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement

  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action for manufacturing issues

  • Task lead critical operations on the manufacturing shop floor

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices

  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability and assembly

  • Collaborate with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and assembly of components

  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality and timely delivery of materials

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 

  • 5+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, or Supplier Quality

  • Experience with aerospace manufacturing processes and standards

  • Experience with engineering and design software (i.e. CAD/3D packages (UG/NX, CATIA, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.)

  • Experience using strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Experience showcasing effective communication, organizational and team oriented skills

  • Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends as mission requires it

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with spacecraft electrical harness fabrication and installations

  • Experience with Model Based Instruction (MBI) production planning

  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principle

  • Familiarity with quality assurance processes and tools

Summary pay range: $103,700 - $140,300
