Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Program Integration Manager (Level L) to join NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) Program in either New Orleans, Louisiana or Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

NASA's Space Launch System (SLS) is key to returning the United States to the Moon and sending the first astronauts on to Mars.

This position is responsible for managing a Program Integration team and project management driving daily team execution, coordination, and communication across all internal and external stakeholders. An ideal candidate has a strong background in spaceflight, proposal development, project management, and NASA customer interaction. The position reports to the SLS Program Integration Leader.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports the Program Manager in leading program execution by developing and coordinating top level strategy and plans, program metrics, and internal and external communications
  • Leads others and directs all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards)
  • Leads a cross-functional team of experts to generate proposals and solutions in support of NASA change requests from development through negotiations
  • Develops and maintains program baselines (technical, cost, schedule, requirements, configuration, etc.)
  • Utilizes EVM to manage program performance, review and approve variances, and ensure accurate EAC
  • Implements program processes, and seeks out process improvements to eliminate waste and drive execution
  • Develops solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation
  • Maintains a high performing workforce with a positive culture driven by Boeing values

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 5 years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role
  • More than 3 years of experience working directly with executives or senior leaders
  • More than 1 year of experience in Program Management or IPT Leadership including cost, schedule and technical management
  • More than 1 year of experience leading proposal development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 1 year of experience articulating and implementing strategy-to-action plans
  • More than 1 year of experience working with U.S. Government customers

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.)

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $157,250 - $212,750
