Boeing Global Services (BGS) is looking for a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team in Tokyo, Japan.

The Supply Chain Specialist will be an integral member of the Boeing Inventory Management and Demand Planning team. In this role, you will be required to assist in analyzing postproduction supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities. You will also enter, track, monitor, and coordinate customer material and delivery requirements and customer orders.  Additionally, you will process materials returned from customers, assist in the analysis of supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performance.

Processing documentation associated with repair items and warranty claims is required in this role.  In summary, you will provide oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, delivery, and financial performance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conduct forecast analysis based on demand trends and lead time

  • Analyze material availability and initiate redistribution of assets as needed

  • Communicate effectively across function to resolve supply chain issues that may negatively impact the program

  • Manage performance and customer relationships to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability, and in-service performance

  • Relay supply chain related constraints to the customer and develop corrective action plans as needed

  • Utilize various supply chain systems track and manage material throughout the supply chain process from order to delivery

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft products such as Excel and PowerPoint

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience establishing relationships and maintaining strong on-going communication with customers, supplier and/or vendors

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

  • Fluent in Japanese and English with the ability to review and translate technical information in both written and verbal forms.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience in a role requiring strategic planning (project/program management and inventory management)

  • Experience working both independently and in team environments

  • Experience working with Supply Chain Processes

Location:

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Boeing Japan Tokyo office.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is NOT a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

This requisition is for a locally hired position. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and not on Boeing US-based payroll.
