Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Manufacturing Operations Analyst to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, Washington.

Summary Responsibilities:

This position is directly tied to the site executive manufacturing leader and the supported locations in Puget Sound and will partner with the Lean organization. This role will:

  • Drive process rigor through 5S+ assessments, 5S+ standards and Lean methodologies
  • Ensure continuity of leadership and employee 5S+ engagement and gembas
  • Provide guidance and ensure monthly 5S+ program peer reviews
  • Support program 5S+ team execution and maturity based on 5S+ gap closure plans
  • Coach, train, and influence 5S+ at all levels
  • Enhance 5S+ visibility across the program in replication and recognition
  • Communicate plans, progress/status, updates, and execution requirements with teams and leaders
  • Utilize and mature Seek, Speak, and Listen habits and closed loop continuous improvement
  • Lead/assist with 5S+/Lean findings or compliance issues

Position Responsibilities – Experienced Level 3:

  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria
  • Analyzes and interprets data
  • Provides feedback on assessment results
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to accomplish company initiatives using Lean methodologies or other applicable tools and processes
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans
  • Works under general direction

Position Responsibilities – Senior Level 4:

  • Leads complex group work sessions selecting and using advanced Lean principles, processes and tools to implement the Boeing Production System for internal or external customers
  • Conducts assessments of processes and practices for comparison to applicable standards and criteria
  • Analyzes and interprets data
  • Provides feedback on assessment results and identifies opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk
  • Works with organizations to develop strategies, plans and metrics to achieve business objectives
  • Works at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans
  • Works under minimal direction

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position is for 1st shift.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • More than 3 years of knowledge of Boeing Production System
  • More than 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • More than 1 year of experience implementing strategies and plans under general direction
  • More than 1 year of experience analyzing requirements to develop action plans and facilitate implementation efforts?
  • More than 1 year of experience with project management and the ability to self-manage projects
  • More than 1 year of experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 1 year of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership
  • More than 2 years of experience utilizing or deploying 5S methods
  • Ability to collect and analyze data, develop insight, develop plans, build executable plans, and deliver results
  • Ability to proactively engage with executive leadership on plans/strategy and status
  • Proven continuous improvement impact Knowledge of Boeing Production System
  • Knowledge of safety requirements and experience working in a Production Environment
  • Basic project management skills and Lean process improvement experience
  • Experienced Level 3: More than 3 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Senior Level 4: More than 5 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Typical Education/Experience:

Experienced Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.)

Senior Level 4: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range ExperiencedLevel 3: $85,000 - $105,000

Summary pay range Senior Level 4: $100,300 - $123,900
