Boeing is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hydraulic and Pneumatic Automation Technician to join our Structures Lab teams in Tukwila or Everett Washington. This technician will play a vital role in supporting the development, maintenance, and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems, as well as thermal environmental systems.

In this position, you will collaborate closely with Boeing teammates and suppliers to develop and execute test activities, ensuring that all systems and components meet rigorous requirements and specifications. You will guide mechanics in the proper assembly and integration of hydraulic and pneumatic systems while collaborating with suppliers to ensure that their components fit seamlessly into the overall design. You will also identify and implement process improvements to enhance system integration, ultimately ensuring that project objectives such as performance standards, timelines, and budget constraints are met. You will help educate and train your teammates on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency and a commitment to taking ownership of projects will thrive in this role.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced, Senior, or Lead Level Hydraulic and Pneumatic Automation Technicians.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Boeing teammates and suppliers to develop and execute test activities, ensuring compliance with rigorous requirements and specifications for mechanical and fluid systems

  • Guide mechanics in the proper assembly and integration of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring seamless fit of supplier components into the overall design

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance system integration, meeting project objectives related to performance standards, timelines, and budget constraints

  • Educate and train team members on hydraulic and pneumatic systems to enhance overall team capabilities and knowledge

  • Manage multiple tasks effectively while demonstrating a strong background in hydraulic and pneumatic systems and excellent analytical skills

  • Exhibit self-motivation and a sense of urgency, taking ownership of projects to drive successful outcomes

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in hydraulic design, maintenance, and repair.

  • Experience in pneumatic design, maintenance, and repair

  • Experience working with customers and suppliers

  • Proficiency and experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of

  • Experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or a similar CAD program.

  • Experience in project management.

  • Experience working a dynamic, multidisciplinary organization.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365.

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3): $59,500 – $80,500

Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 4):  $68,000 – $92,000

Summary Pay Range for Lead (Level 5):  $78,200 – $105,800
