Located in Tukwila, WA, this unique role places you right in the heart of the Integrated Technologies Development Laboratories (ITDL) Lab Integration team, where cutting-edge aerospace projects come to life. Imagine designing and building hands-on mechanical solutions that directly impact iconic aircraft like the E-7 AEW&C, E-3 AWACS, P-8 MMA, and KC-46 Tanker.

At Boeing, you won’t just design in the lab—you’ll roll up your sleeves, turn the wrenches, and bring your expertise in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) to create precise, functional mechanical layouts for electronic systems inside aircraft and commercial rack enclosures.

Collaborate with a dynamic, cross-functional team driving the future of aerospace technology, supporting system integration across Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers (MS&B) division products. Position Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical design of systems integration laboratories and demonstration trailers

  • Create, develop, and maintain mechanical designs by preparing design layouts, modifying existing designs and assisting in identifying design discrepancies

  • Coordinating between Lab Engineering, Lab Ops, Program, and Supplier Management

  • Communicating Part Delivery and Tracking Status

  • Leverage basic geometric, dimensioning, and tolerancing (GD&T)

  • Mechanical layout of electronic products within aircraft and commercial off the shelf rack enclosures

  • Lab, Rack, Component Build/Job, Installation Planning

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 5 or more years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance

  • Ability to perform minor electrical and electronic modifications

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.  The selected candidate will need to be in the surrounding area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary Pay Range:  $96,050 – $129,950
