Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Products & Services Quality Manager to join the Repair Station Administration (RSA) team divided between Tukwila, Washington and Everett, Washington.

Repair Station Administration (RSA) organizational responsibilities include administration of FAA and foreign National Aviation Authority (NAA) maintenance organization certificates; repairman certificate and certifying staff application processing; support of audit activities including those performed by the FAA, foreign NAAs and customer airlines; and coordination and communication of regulatory changes affecting the BCA Repair Station. RSA serves as BCA's single point of contact for FAA and foreign NAAs.

The Boeing Company Repair Station performs aircraft maintenance and repairs, modification, product overhaul, and repair of products at multiple sites located in Washington, California, Texas, South Carolina and Pennsylvania. The Boeing Company Repair Station is certificated to perform maintenance and repair on aircraft registered in the U.S. and multiple other countries.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as an aviation maintenance professional, specifically in quality assurance within aerospace repair station operations. The successful applicant will possess strong analytical skills and a demonstrated history of leading continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates are required to manage team members located in both Tukwila and Everett. Candidates are required to travel between Boeing sites per business needs. This is approximately 5% with duration generally from one day to one week.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages RSA employees across diverse Quality Management skill sets to ensure effective administration of the Repair Station training program, Repair Station roster, Repair Station and Quality Control Manual, Repair Station Safety Management System, FAA Air Agency Certificates, and National Aviation Authority (NAA) Maintenance Organization approvals

  • Oversees daily RSA operations to optimize organizational effectiveness

  • Provides guidance and coaching on RSA activities and responsibilities

  • Collaborates with Senior Repair Station site management responsible for overseeing employees engaged in maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations of articles performed under the Repair Station. Additionally, fosters strong relationships with stakeholders through proactive engagement and effective communication to improve operational safety and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Works closely with FAA representatives and foreign aviation authorities

  • Promotes the standardization and implementation of best practices throughout the Repair Station network, ensuring consistency and operational excellence across all locations

  • Assesses pending regulatory changes for impact to the Repair Station for appropriate Quality requirement incorporation

  • Prepares and maintains Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures and metrics to assure program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements are deployed

  • Develops project plans and cost estimates. This includes regular status reporting to stakeholders, facilitating clear communication, and alignment on project progress and objectives

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience as an FAA-certified Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic

  • 3+ years of experience with inspection on products and articles to the approved design data, specifications and requirements (repair station, maintenance repair organization, airline, etc.)

  • 1+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity maintaining aircraft, aircraft engines, or aircraft components

  • 1+ years of experience working with FAA or foreign National Aviation Authorities

  • Familiarity with FAA 14 CFR part 43 and part 145 FAA Certificated Repair Station requirements

  • Willing and able to travel domestically 5% of the time

  • Proficient utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience with Repair Station/Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) or air carrier operations involving large aircraft (aircraft weighing more than 12,500 pounds)

  • 3+ years of experience in role that required project management skills

  • 1+ years of Root Cause and Corrective Action experience

  • Excellent communication and teaming skills

  • Familiarity with quality management systems, including AS9100 and AS9110

  • Bachelor's degree

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $132,000 - $150,000
