Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Intern, reporting to Lean Practitioner Manager working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba location.  This is a full-time internship opportunity that is based at our office in Winnipeg, Manitoba and is up to 8 months in length, starting in early May 2026.

We are looking for a Continuous Improvement Manufacturing Intern who are interested in working side-by-side with experienced Lean Practitioner professionals.

Our student Interns are given a unique experience as they learn the ropes and attain newfound competencies. Interns are exposed to on-the-job challenges as they work on hands-on tasks, undergo training, and have the opportunity to work on special projects. Position Responsibilities:

  • Gathers data and information.

  • Work a lean project.

  • Work with Lean Practitioners to assist with facilitation of lean events and workshops.

  • Apply Problem Solving skills in the work area.

  • Perform audits as 5S or Tier Effectiveness.

  • Desktop/Standards creation.

  • Working directly with an assigned mentor or a buddy.

  • Learn about Aerospace Manufacturing.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student with an accredited university or college.

  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft office products Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word.

  • Must have strong analytical skills.

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.

  • Individuals must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods.

  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Prefer previous internship experience.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access.

  • Experience working within a manufacturing company.

  • Prefer students registered in a technical program.

*Graduates are ineligible unless continuing in post graduate studies.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
