Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is the largest composites manufacturer in Canada, proudly employing over 1,300 skilled team members. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Industrial Engineering Manager to lead our team of Industrial Engineers. This role is pivotal in optimizing the integration of labor, machines, materials, and data within our composite manufacturing processes. Reporting directly to the Director of Engineering, you will play a key role in driving operational excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of Industrial Engineers, ensuring high performance and professional development.

  • Collaborate with senior leaders and executives on strategic initiatives and operational matters.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor project and process plans, policies, and operational goals.

  • Assess and allocate resources effectively for projects and processes, providing technical management of suppliers.

  • Drive process improvements and innovation within the manufacturing environment.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and team members.

  • Oversee and approve technical approaches, products, and processes to ensure alignment with company standards.

  • Foster a collaborative and motivating team environment, encouraging professional growth and development.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite at our Winnipeg facility.

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite and may occasionally need to cover variable shifts, including second or third shifts.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

  • Proven leadership skills, demonstrated in either formal or informal roles.

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.

  • Eligibility for registration with Engineer Geoscientists Manitoba (EGM) as a Professional Engineer.

  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to high-level executives using advanced data analysis tools.

  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.

  • Ability to handle US export-controlled data and compliance with controlled goods regulations.

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • 3+ years of management, supervisory, or team lead experience in an engineering or manufacturing setting.

  • Experience in training and mentoring new employees, facilitating their rapid proficiency through structured onboarding and ongoing support.

  • Knowledge of composite manufacturing, materials, processes, and testing.

  • Familiarity with the manufacturing and assembly of metallic aerospace structures.

  • Experience in Commercial Airplane Development.

Additional Information

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and compensation are determined by Canadian standards and are not part of Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
