Boeing Canada Winnipeg is seeking a Procurement Agent, reporting to the Indirect Supply Chain Manager, working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba office. This position is required to be onsite at our Winnipeg office location.

The Procurement Agent will join a dynamic team of professionals and perform activities related to committing company resources to purchase indirect goods and services, developing supplier strategies, development of bid packages, proposal analysis, development of contracts, monitoring supplier performance and work with internal and external stakeholders.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Integrates program, customer, product and strategies into RFX packages, source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies.

  • Development and execution of commodity strategies

  • Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions.

  • Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements.

  • Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management.

  • Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.

  • Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies.

  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers, customers, internal stakeholders, and peers, including the ability to gain rapport and engage with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Work directly with supplier and operations to resolve emergent issues.

  • Maintain Boeing and supplier metrics collaboratively and ensure jointly reviewed.

  • Participates and lead supplier performance reviews and cross functional improvement teams.

  • The candidate should demonstrate strong business acumen, written and verbal communication skills as well as adept problem-solving ability.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain or Procurement practices and processes

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

  • Experience working in SAP or another MRP system

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time internationally/domestically

  • Must be legally able to work in Canada

  • Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods

  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working with Supplier Management, Supply Chain or Procurement practices and processes

  • Post-secondary education

  • Experience working with capital procurements

  • Ability to be self-directed in work and/or previous experience in a self-directed role

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
