The opportunity

We are seeking a talented Technical and Aircrew Publications Specialist to support the Air Combat Electronic Attack Program (ACEASP). The role is based at RAAF Base Amberley near Ipswich, Queensland. You will serve as an integral member of the team, working with various technical and aircrew publications and Program related artefacts. Working within a highly skilled team the successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Proven ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining first time quality.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability for individual performance and outcomes, ensuring responsibilities are met and objectives are achieved.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

As a Technical and Aircrew Publications Specialist you will:

  • Work with team members in developing multiple Publication elements.
  • Liaise with Defence customers to understand priorities, system safety concerns, and publication schedules.
  • Maintain compliance with management plans and work instructions to ensure first-time quality and adherence to scheduled deliverables.
  • Identify efficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct quality and in-process reviews and validation of technical publications.
  • Provide recommendations for process improvements, assist in the development of work instructions and liaise with the Team Lead to review their effectiveness.

To be considered for the role you will possess:

  • Knowledge of engineering disciplines, including avionics, mechanical, and mission systems.
  • Proficiency in communicating with technical personnel to assess information and resolve issues.
  • Strong skills in clearly conveying information to effectively engage and inform audiences.
  • Experience in the development and delivery of work instructions.
  • Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
