Boeing Defense and Space (BDS) has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Innovations and Strategic Partnerships Representative/Executive Assistant for Phantom Works,located in either Arlington, VA or Berkeley, MO.

This position is a critical integration point for Phantom Works Business Development & Strategy on the Innovations and Strategic Partnerships team. You will support alignment of  growth and collaboration between the businesses, new technology development, and external partnerships. In this fast-paced opportunity you will build relationships, learn about cutting edge technologies, and regularly interface with senior leadership.

In addition to innovations and strategic partnerships, you will serve as an executive assistant to the Phantom Works Business Development & Strategy Director; helping to drive organizational strategy, battle rhythm, and One Boeing integration with stakeholders across the function. The Executive Assistant often represents the interests of the leader, thus requiring general BDS / Aerospace & Defense Industry product knowledge and demonstrated abilities to interface and collaborate cross functionally with all levels.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Researches, reviews and analyzes information about competitors' products and services to develop a general understanding of competitor activities and improve our competitive position
  • Captures and documents general information related to customer business, culture, issues and concerns, requirements, and economic and environmental influences by researching available resources, web-sites and publications
  • Analyzes and summarizes data for executive consumption, multitask effectively, and uses sound judgment to execute complex tasks with minimal guidance
  • Assists in the interface with the customer and internal Boeing resources to keep both apprised of key issues and concerns and move actions forward.
  • Builds strong internal and external relationships
  • Maintains professionalism in dealing with senior leaders, persuasive written and verbal communication skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Anticipates the needs of the Leader for scheduled events, presentations, discussions, and recurring processes; research, prepare, socialize, and review materials as appropriate for the event
  • Effectively navigates complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong people skills, and a high level of discretion in handling confidential information
  • Develops executive-level presentations and facilitates leadership meetings
  • Ability to network and collaborate across multiple organizations
  • Use knowledge of BDS business and portfolio to network and collaborate across multiple organizations, and work cross-functionally.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. SECRET Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with Senior Level/Executive Level Management
  • 3+ years of experience writing communications for senior executives and other leaders
  • 3+ years of experience in a role that required organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, facilitate, and coordinate multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Demonstrated leadership ability in formal or informal roles within the Boeing Company or in outside activities
  • 3+ years of experience organizing, facilitating, and executing large meetings or events with executive and senior customer stakeholders
  • 3+ years of experience developing and executing operating rhythms, integrated program schedules, project plans, and/or metrics
  • 3+ years of experience with program management, project management, and/or business operations

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

The position may require traveling up to 25% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $86,700 - $120,000
