Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality Systems Specialist (Level 2 or Level 3) to join the Fabrication Core Quality team based out of Auburn, Washington.

This role will be pivotal in ensuring early quality involvement in program development while also assisting in the development and integration of strategic programs and processes to meet business goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate project meetings to track progress, address issues, and ensure effective communication among team members and stakeholders
  • Identify risks and opportunities, develop mitigation plans, and refine business cases for leadership approval
  • Collect, organize, and provide data according to established processes within the management system to maintain the status of programs, customer, and supplier commitments and compliance, ensuring follow-up actions for issue resolution.
  • Analyze process data, metrics, models, and flows to identify root causes of problems, developing preventive or corrective actions in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Conduct quality source selection and process reviews of suppliers to assess their ability to meet program quality requirements and support business decisions
  • Assist in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies, and processes to meet business goals, including sourcing strategy and cost imperatives
  • Support project management activities by coordinating project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder expectations
  • Review proposals, contracts, regulatory, program, and customer requirements to ensure early quality involvement in program development
  • Prepare and maintain Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures, and metrics to assure compliance with program, contract, customer, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements
  • Perform hardware, software, and system-level audits to determine compliance with quality management system standards, reporting results to management. Analyze data to provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts, and equipment
  • Coordinates the commitments with internal and external organizations to execute timely deliverables
  • Anticipate important or critical events, identifying resource requirements and assigning responsibility for specific work, including deadlines and performance expectations
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience in developing & supporting project plans through the full project lifecycle
  • 1+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 1+ years of experience data mining, processing, and analysis
  • 1+ years of experience developing presentations for leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience in project and program management.
  • Tableau
  • CMES and Velocity knowledge
  • Experience in utilizing database management, programming, statistical modeling and/or machine learning tools.
  • Experience in applying LEAN manufacturing/BPSM techniques for process improvement.
  • Experience in manufacturing or factory support environment.
  • Knowledge of International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS91001)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range:

Associate (Level 2): $72,200 - $97,800

Experienced (Level 3): $87,200 - $117,800
