Position Overview  :

The Boeing Company is currently looking for Associate Systems Engineering - PLM position seeking to design, develop and test new computing systems and applications across PLM to facilitate integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirements. This position reports directly to the SEIT Capability MBSE Manager.

As a member of PLM team, you will be responsible for the development of system integration strategies and architectures that promote use of common tools and processes.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Manager to deliver Engineering statements of work to meet the organizational goals

Position Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy engineering systems tools and process architecture across PLM
  • Provide systems integration expertise and related support to the entire systems engineering team
  • Proficient in the design, development and use of multiple architecture frameworks, tools, and methodologies
  • Ability to analyze, design, code, test and debug existing and new programs to support the customization of the Enterprise level 3DX PLM with experience in 3DX Change Management, Configuration Management, Engineering Release & Route Management, IP classification, Bookmark editors & Collaborative Lifecycle
  • Proficient in CATIA V5/V6 and 3Dexperience and 3D Part modeling using parametric relations.
  • Ability to identify and implement model-based architecture and engineering methods and standards
  • Coordinate with various programs to determine Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Training and Tool Needs.
  • Proficient with Cameo Modelling
  • Demonstrate excellence in use of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and systems modeling methods with expertise in RFLP architecture.
  • Expertise in at least one systems modeling tool: (preferred) NoMagic, Magic Draw or IBM Rational Rhapsody; others considered if applicable.
  • Design and develop CAD custom applications development, testing and deployment for CATIA V5/3DX CATIA using C#.
  • Part of a team of systems engineers to develop and manage product line system requirements. Decompose aircraft level requirements and/or customer use cases to product line level i.e. equipment / systems software level requirements and establish tracing.
  • Candidate must have strong attention to detail and knowledge on Mechanical Design rules.
  • Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, functional requirements and non-functional requirements.
  • Work as a local team of PLM Engineers, provide daily direction of tasks and assignments.
  • Provide team activity report to the MBSE Manager.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
  • This position requires 2+ years of demonstrated experience on 3DExperience and automation tools and methodologies.
  • This position requires 2-5 years of Systems Engineering experience with the exposure to electrical, mechanical, and systems – Tools and Processes.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various workflows, in an end-to-end product development with a system / system-of-systems environment is preferred.
  • Experience and familiarity PLM, preferably 3DExperience platform is mandatory
  • Experience in systems architecture and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) of aircraft systems is preferred.
  • Experience in Cameo modelling, analysis and interpretation of multidisciplinary models
  • Familiarity with modeling methodologies such as OOSEM, MagricGrid etc.
  • Familiarity with ISO 15288
  • Advanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly [DFM/A]).
  • Experience in python-based tools, and APIs for PLM/PDM data processing, automation and analytics.
  • Functional experience of product development in Aerospace/Automotive domain is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with the Agile/SAFe Process is mandatory
  • Strong written, verbal communication with engineers, management, and non-engineering support staff.
  • Ability to work in a virtual team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • INCOSE certification on Systems Engineering is an added advantage.
  • OMG SysML certification is an edge over
  • Familiarity with Cameo Enterprise Architecture and/or Rational Rhapsody software is preferred.

Typical Education & Experience:

  • Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 Plus years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 4 years' related work experience.)

This position does offer relocation based on candidate eligibility within INDIA.
