Position Overview:

Boeing Talent Acquisition is currently looking to hire Experienced Software Engineer-Flight Management System for Boeing India Software Engineering (BISE) Software to join their team in Bengaluru, India.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop SW code in C++  as per Software Requirements & design and perform unit testing.
  • Develop Software integration test Scripts to verify the correct implementation of Tier 4 requirements
  • Establish traceability from Tier 4 requirements to SW Code and Test.
  • Perform peer review on Software Requirements, Design, Code and Test.
  • Support CDR (Critical Design Reviews), TRR (Test Readiness Review) and Formal Qualification.
  • Support project management by providing periodic status and required metrics data.
  • Be a good team player in the agile team. Candidate should possess excellent communications skills to participate in Design/Code/Test development and reviews, have a thorough understanding of version control and software quality attributes, such as testability, portability and maintainability, and enjoy a self-driven and collaborative development approach.
  • Be dynamic and support management and leads to ensure successful product deliveries.
  • Identify, communicate and mitigate the Risk, issues and Opportunities on a timely manner.

Basic Qualification:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher is required as a BASIC QUALIFICATION
  • The ideal candidate is a self-starter and someone who works well within a team
  • Solid programming knowledge with C/C++ and Python.
  • Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience
  • Experience writing and developing software requirements with little or to no existing requirements
  • Experience with Linux or Unix experience is desirable
  • Strong experience in Flight Management Systems
  • Simulating the various scenarios in FMS and guiding the team on complex scenarios.
  • Mentor, guide team to resolve any technical issues. Proactively communicate with all stakeholders and take actions to find solution for complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications: (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, team members, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and complete projects.
  • Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English, and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work.

Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 8 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 7 years' related work experience.)
