The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Senior Manager within the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance Division located in Berkeley, MO.

Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) is a highly specialized discipline that is critical to the success of development programs.  This manager will have the responsibility to develop an approach and methodology for successfully supporting all E3 activities at the St. Louis/St. Charles site.

They will interface and partner with Technical Experts, Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Customers, and Suppliers at multiple levels of the organization to ensure compliance with design integration requirements and program execution.  The site has many exciting new development programs in work, so this leader will set the strategy for how E3 work is performed on those programs, deploying new, innovative, and industry leading approaches within this discipline area. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful execution of all Electromagnetic Environmental Effects activities across the St. Louis/St. Charles site.

  • Acquire and manage resources performing engineering and technical activities in the areas of Electromagnetics Environmental Effects (E3)

  • Develop and execute project and process plans

  • Implement policies and procedures, and establish team goals including key performance indicators.

  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes including risks, issues, and opportunities identified by the team.

  • Manage, develop, and motivate all levels of engineers and regularly meet one-on-one with each employee

  • Promote and enable knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next generation of leaders and engineers.

  • Foster a collaborative environment that drives team success

  • Ensure development of E3 team to include TLEs, BDEs, Tech Fellowship

  • Drive Enterprise E3 Technical Strategy alignment to Air Dominance E3 requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret clearance post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 10+ years of engineering related experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Systems Engineering integration and test of platform systems

  • Experience with Electromagnetic Environmental Effects

Summary pay range: $182,750- $247,250
