The Boeing Company’s Human Resources organization is currently seeking an Experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Software Engineering Intelligence, Weapons and System (I&WS) and Vertical Lift (VL) organizations in Berkeley, MO or Tukwila, WA. This HRBP is an integral role that serves as thought partner to the BDS Software Engineering leadership team partnering with business leaders to help guide the organizations’ day-to-day and strategic workforce actions and decisions to meet the organization’s objectives.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Experience with HR strategies and action plans, policies, procedures, and industry trends

  • Experience in consulting, coaching and guiding leaders and managers on HR related matters

  • Experience developing solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation

  • Experience creating and presenting data-driven HR solutions to senior leaders

  • Track record of establishing strong relationships through trust, credibility, expertise, and business acumen

  • Strong project management skills

  • High degree of Emotional Intelligence

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills with a high-impact communication style

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR presence where our employees work to enable real time engagement and solutions

  • Partner closely with BDS I&WS and Vertical Lift Software Engineering LT and other key stakeholders to develop a talent pipeline of current and future leaders

  • Develop and deploy integrated Human Resources services, processes and data analytics that drive business results for the I&WS and VL Software Engineering organizations including: talent acquisition – staffing strategies and action plans; engagement, development, and retention initiatives; performance management and compensation; Succession Planning and pipeline development and consultation on a range of HR-related deliverables 

  • Consult, coach, and guide executive leaders, managers and engineering teammates on HR related matters including behaviors and techniques that help achieve leadership excellence and organizational and individual performance outcomes

  • Enable informed, data-driven business decisions by providing robust workforce analytics, trends, and consultation

  • Establish strong, collaborative relationships with business leadership and colleagues across HR, including our Centers of Excellence (CoEs), based on trust, credibility, expertise, and business acumen

  • Utilize HR metrics and people data to drive solutions based on trends and understand effectiveness of support provided

  • Accountable for the quality and delivery of HR products and services by engaging other HR resources and centers of excellence as appropriate; influencing process improvement by working with others

  • Mentor new HRBPs and support continuing evolution of HR function towards HR Excellence

  • Partner with engineering managers and teammates across BDS Software I&WS, Vertical Lift and our larger HR community to solve organizational challenges and drive results through effective data-driven strategies, consultation, and cultural stewardship

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience communicating and implementing HR programs, policies, practices, and processes

  • 3+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and linking relevant HR strategies to business outcomes

  • 3+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions

  • 3+ years of experience partnering with leadership to design and implement workforce strategies to meet organization objectives

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Human Resources certification

  • Experience executing strategies and managing projects that promote a culture of superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement

  • Experience collaborating across organizational boundaries to deliver an integrated final product

  • 3+ years of experience working with employees as a Human Resources Generalist (HRG) or Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $81,600 - $118,450
