Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an ExperiencedIndustrial Security Specialist to join our dynamic team located in Berkeley, MO

Position Responsibilities:

  • Conducts assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action.
  • Assists less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls.
  • Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements.
  • Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries. Conducts Communication Security (COMSEC) duties and responsibilities in compliance with government regulations/requirements.
  • Assists COMSEC custodians and less experienced personnel in COMSEC responsibilities.
  • Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs.
  • Assists Personnel Security team and/or processes (works with databases, reviews files, conducts interviews, submittals to customers and schedules briefings) to assist in obtaining individual security clearances/accesses for standard customer requirements.
  • Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information.
  • Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements.
  • Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements.
  • Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams. Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries.
  • Assists the other Data Transfer Agent (DTA) approximately 50% of the time, conducting transfers to and from multiple networks within a Special Access Program area. The DTA is responsible for understanding the risks involved in data transfers and following established Assured File Transfer (AFT) procedures to ensure any potential risk is handled during the transfer process.
  • Trains on all tools used as part of the DTA process and assists in the development of new or modified AFT procedures as program needs and requirements evolve.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

This position requires ability to obtain Special Program Access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience working in one or a combination of the following domains: NISP, SAP and/or SCI
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a classified environment

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Industrial Security
  • Experience with National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and 32 CFR, part 117 (NISPOM)
  • Experience with with Department of Defense Manual (DoDM) 5205.07, Volumes 1-4
  • Familiarity with ICD 705 Construction Standards

Typical Education / Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Summary Pay Range: USD $65,000 - $115,000
