The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) team is seeking a Product Security (Cyber) Test Operations Engineer to support the Air Proprietary 1 (AP1) program in Berkeley, MO. This role will be responsible for leading the execution of the cyber test lifecycle. You will be joining a cybersecurity pentest team focused on product testing. The successful candidate will apply engineering rigor and cybersecurity knowledge to plan and execute adversarial testing. You will lead the development of test plans, support test execution and coordinate test reporting as a part of an engineering team in the greater St. Louis area.

You will be joining a growing multi-disciplinary cybersecurity engineering organization that is responsible for the security and resiliency of our products, platforms, and services. This position will provide Test Operations support to the various phases of the Product Test Lifecyle by supporting test proposals, developing test plans and schedules, coordinating test execution logistics, and supporting post-test activities. Joining this team will put you at the cutting edge of Boeing Product Security.

BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Senior and Lead level Product Security Test Operations Engineers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Implement test campaigns aligned with the DoD Cybersecurity T&E best practices
  • Conduct Mission Based Cyber Risk Assessments (MBCRAs) and Cyber Table Tops (CTTs)
  • Define cyber test plans and schedules for complex architectures and translate to actionable tasks
  • Perform event planning as the Product Security T&E lead coordinating with multiple stakeholders
  • Provide team leadership, direction, and coordination resulting in test readiness
  • Collaborate with Product Security Test Engineers during test execution
  • Align technical test findings to stakeholder objectives and map attack surface coverage
  • Coordinate prioritization and completion of test cases in accordance with the test plan
  • Complete post-test reporting as a part of the test team
  • Represent Product Security T&E in engagements with Boeing, suppliers and customer leadership
  • Develop and mature Product Security T&E processes, best practices, and solutions
  • Occasional domestic and international travel as needed

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science    
  • 5+ years of experience building workflows, resource management plans, program schedules and other program integration activities, security process development, product life cycle process development
  • 5+ years of experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) organizations, projects and/or programs
  • 5+ years of experience directing and executing projects in accordance with stakeholder objectives and schedules
  • 5+ years of experience in product security, cybersecurity research, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in developing presentations, integrating technical & non-technical content
  • Able to travel both domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience performing adversity (threat) analysis, security risk assessments, and maturing the analysis throughout the development lifecycle
  • Experience hosting events like Cyber Table Tops and Mission Based Cyber Risk Assessments
  • Experience in a previous technical Information Security, Cybersecurity, or Test position
  • Previous history of penetration or cyber verification and validation testing
  • Experience working with stakeholders to integrate, plan and execute test events
  • Experience building or leading technical teams
  • Experience translating user requirements into actionable engineering tasks
  • Experience coordinating and planning with test execution teams
  • Demonstrated experience in technical writing and oral communication for soliciting goals and requirements, communicating design decisions, and informing senior leadership
  • Experience with Project Management including Earned Value Management and schedule performance
  • History of supporting integration of test activities into a program lifecycle

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range for senior level: $136,850 – $185,150

Summary pay range for lead level: $164,050 - $221,950
