BDS Proprietary Readiness team has an exciting opportunity to fulfill a key position in the organization as a Senior Project Management Specialist. This role will report directly to the Director of Proprietary Readiness and be responsible for developing and managing the overall management system and organization initiatives in BDS ACA Production Capabilities as a critical enabler of the business.

ACA Production Capabilities team is responsible for the development of new Production, Office and Lab Capabilities to support current and future franchise programs. 


This position performs business management activities in the area of Program Management; develops and executes integrated organizational plans; guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives; and acquires resources for organizational activities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide Director with support for day-to-day operation of ACA Production Capability team program, which is creating new capabilities for BDS future franchise programs and strategic markets, as well as optimizing existing footprint
  • Implement Program Management Best Practices to ensure performance to plan. Oversee establishment and maintenance of program baselines, integrated planning, execution of the Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP) and risk management (including Technology Readiness Assessments), opportunity management, and issues management
  • Support future trade studies, work placement and footprint optimizations in partnership with Strategy, program and functional stakeholders
  • Maintain stakeholder alignment across site, programs and functional leadership on project portfolio
  • Maintain ACA Production Capability team operating rhythm, CONOPS, program performance metrics and reporting
  • Works with vendors and project management teams (both Boeing and external) to baseline project budgets and predicted spend over the life of projects
  • Analyze purchase order data to track against baseline budget and Estimate at Completion (EAC)
  • Utilizes various reporting mechanisms to track actual and projected spend by vendors.  Utilizes Earned Value Management (EVM) methods to report on project status for budget and schedule
  • Responsible for leading and coordinating actions with the project managers and/or functional leaders.
  • Ensures objectives are met by scheduling, de-conflicting, and prioritizing key tasks and proactively communicating leadership direction, guidance, and expectations.
  • Reviews and evaluates strategic organizational focus and priorities, identifies and recommends optimization opportunities, and assists in their implementation.
  • Completing special projects and ad hoc tasks, as assigned

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of Program Management, Project Management, and/or Business Operations experience
  • 5+ years of experience leading multiple projects and working with cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating strong time management, collaboration, decision-making, and leadership strengths in written and verbal communications
  • 3+ years of experience working with executive leadership
  • Ability to effectively deal with complexity and ambiguity
  • Strong time management, collaboration, decision-making, and leadership strengths in written and verbal communications
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office Products - Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Summary pay range: $132,600-$179,400
